Ms. Courtney Nichols is a dancer, teacher and choreographer originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. Dancing has been her passion since she was three years old. She has trained at some of the top studios in Utah and Arizona under the direction of highly respected instructors and choreographers. She was chosen as Arizona’s Artistic Merit, Leadership and Academic Achievement Award Recipient from AzDEO, and received the Universal Dance Association All American Award for her pom team. She was awarded the Romero Wolf Scholarship for 2014. Additionally, she was the Film, Dance, Theatre Special Talent Award Recipient for two years offered by The Herberger Institute at Arizona State University (ASU).
While at ASU, Ms. Nichols took on the role of College Dance President and joined the Be Kind Crew – a dance crew that leads school programs in Title 1 Schools. Ms Nichols earned her Bachelors in Dance Education and graduated Magna Cum Laude in December 2017 . Following graduation, Ms Nichols worked as a substitute teacher and later moved to Utah to join Salt Dance Company where she danced, performed, taught and organized assemblies for Elementary schools that promoted Mental Health.
Ms. Nichols is happy to continue on as an Eastmark Firebird pursuing her passion for dancing and teaching.
